Tractor Zoom Strengthens Appraisal Process with AI

Farm Credit appraisal teams can now access a powerful AI enhancement to Tractor Zoom Pro to further empower and speed the appraisal process.

Tractor Zoom Pro is now in use at the majority of Farm Credit associations, delivering real-time access to actual auction and dealer sales prices for ag equipment to support the appraisals necessary for credit approval. The platform was designed specifically to support Farm Credit teams, delivering accurate, transparent and traceable valuations based on multiple public sources.

“Farm Credit appraisers working manually typically spend two to three hours on standard equipment valuations,” says Andy Campbell, Director of Insights with Tractor Zoom. “Tractor Zoom leverages technology to deliver fast, accurate and current values, and streamlining the annual update to customer balance sheets to reflect refreshed appraisal values.”

Tractor Zoom is leveraging technology even further with the introduction of Smart Description, which uses Generative AI, developed by Tractor Zoom’s data science team, to analyze equipment descriptions to identify options packages, upgrades or other attributes that impact equipment valuations. This delivers even more accurate appraisals, just as quickly.

“Smart Description eliminates another layer of manual effort in establishing an accurate appraisal for each piece of equipment by seeking out specific keywords to identify attributes that impact equipment values,” says Andy. “Smart Description uses twice as many pertinent attributes to continue delivering unmatched accuracy from one trusted source.”

Smart Description is currently available in Tractor Zoom Pro for tractors, combines, sprayers, planters, and more. Additional equipment categories are being analyzed and rolled out over time.
