John O'Brien has been in farm credit for 25 years serving as a Relationship Manager, Branch Manager, Chief Credit Officer, and currently Chief Lending Officer. Prior to farm credit he spent two years with Bank of America in its commercial credit department. John has seen land prices move substantially in Texas as well as having seen a large population in flux to Texas around its Metro areas. Thus, for years now, he has worked for his association in addressing "scope and eligibility" as well as "Land in Transition" lending. He has also addressed this challenge working with others in the system Chief Credit Officer workgroup.
